JEDCO financing package supports headquarters relocation and facility renovations, business expansion, and future job growth
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 20, 2026
(JEFFERSON PARISH, La.) –JEDCO, Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, and community leaders gathered Friday to celebrate the grand opening of the new Perrier Esquerre Contractor (PEC) headquarters. The headquarters project began as part of the company’s 10-year anniversary celebration and now serves as a lasting investment in the design-build contractor’s future. This headquarters relocation positions the business for growth while reinforcing Jefferson Parish’s reputation as a place where businesses choose to invest.
The project represents a $2.2 million investment in Jefferson Parish and includes the purchase and renovation of an existing commercial building into an 11,400-square-foot headquarters featuring a 5,400-square-foot office and 6,000-square-foot fabrication facility. The relocation provides the growing company with the space needed to support its expanding operations while establishing a permanent home for its headquarters in Jefferson Parish. PEC currently employs 30 full-time team members with room for continued growth.
“Opening the doors to our permanent headquarters is an important milestone for our company and our team. Over the past ten years, we’ve been fortunate to build strong relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and the communities we serve throughout Southeast Louisiana. This investment reflects our confidence in the future of our business, our commitment to Jefferson Parish, and our desire to create a workplace where our team can continue to grow. We’re grateful to our many partners who helped make this vision a reality.”

The relocation was made possible in part through the SBA 504 Loan Program, with financing facilitated by JEDCO in partnership with Metairie Bank. The program provides growing businesses with long-term, fixed-rate financing to purchase and improve owner-occupied commercial real estate, helping companies expand while creating jobs and generating investment throughout Jefferson Parish.
Every headquarters relocation is a vote of confidence in Jefferson Parish. Businesses choose Jefferson Parish because they find the resources, partnerships, and strategic advantages they need to grow,” said JEDCO President and CEO Jerry Bologna. “PEC’s investment represents exactly the kind of project we strive to support through our financing programs. By helping businesses access the capital they need to purchase and improve commercial property, we’re creating opportunities for long-term investment, quality jobs and continued economic growth right here in Jefferson Parish. We’re proud to welcome PEC’s headquarters to our community and look forward to their continued success.
Commercial investments like PEC’s headquarters strengthen Jefferson Parish’s economy by supporting business expansion, revitalizing existing commercial properties and creating opportunities for future job growth. The project also reflects the strong partnerships among economic development organizations, lenders and the business community that continue to position Jefferson Parish as a premier place to invest.
“When a growing company chooses to establish its headquarters in Jefferson Parish, it reflects the strength and opportunity of our business community,” said Ruth Lawson, President of the Jefferson Chamber. “PEC’s investment in Jefferson Parish speaks to the collaborative environment that helps businesses thrive. As a valued Jefferson Chamber member, we are proud to celebrate this milestone with their team and look forward to supporting their continued growth and success.”
“This investment represents exactly the kind of growth we want to see in Jefferson Parish,” said Councilman Deano Bonano. “PEC’s new headquarters strengthens our economy, creates opportunities for future job growth and demonstrates that businesses continue to see Jefferson Parish as the right place to invest. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with the entire PEC team.”

Founded in 2014 by Brett Perrier and Keith Esquerré, Perrier Esquerré Contractors has built a reputation as one of the region’s leading design-build firms, delivering commercial construction projects throughout Southeast Louisiana. As the company approached its 10-year milestone, leadership began planning for a permanent headquarters that would reflect its culture, support its expanding operations, and create a foundation for its next chapter of growth.
Unlike a traditional commercial renovation, this project carried special significance for the PEC team: they were building the future home of their own company. Every detail of the project was approached with the same level of care and accountability that PEC brings to each of its projects, resulting in a permanent headquarters that reflects both the company’s expertise and the values that have driven its success.
The team transformed an aging commercial building into a modern, collaborative workspace while preserving the functionality needed to support both office operations and fabrication activities. One of the most dramatic moments came during the complete transformation of the building’s storefront and façade, which lacked character in its original condition.

“The most memorable moment came when the original front wall was removed, revealing the full potential of the transformation,” said Erin Bordelon, Project Manager. “In that instant, the vision for our new headquarters became tangible. We transformed an outdated building into a headquarters that reflects who we are as builders and creates a foundation for our team to grow for years to come.”
Working alongside Flynn Architects, Atelier Design and Entergy, the team overcame complex construction challenges, including relocating the building’s electrical service underground, to preserve the architectural vision while improving functionality.
Because PEC served as both owner and contractor, company leadership remained actively engaged throughout every phase of construction, allowing for rapid decision-making and close attention to detail. The result is a headquarters designed not only to meet today’s operational needs but to support the company’s continued growth well into the future.
For Brett Perrier and Keith Esquerré, the investment represents more than a new office, it reflects a long-term commitment to Jefferson Parish and the relationships the company has built throughout the region over the past decade.
The new PEC headquarters is located at 4900 Jefferson Highway.
